Year 9 Options
This is an exciting time for our year 9 students, when they begin to think about some of the choice of subjects
that are available to study for GCSE and BTEC. A time to begin to prepare for the next stage of their lives as
young adults.
At Hummersknott, we pride ourselves on our commitment to a broad education, and we offer our students a
wide and varied choice of subjects that will allow all of them to reach their potential and will open possibilities
now and in the future.
However, we also recognise that this can be a confusing time for young people, managing the decisions they
need to make, when they are unsure of where the future will take them. We hope that our options programme
will support our students, their parents and carers in making the right choices for them.
