Uniform
We think it is important that, as an Academy, we set high standards in all that we do. The Academy is a place of work for everyone who attends. As such, we expect students to come to school dressed in an appropriate manner, in the agreed Academy uniform.
Uniform is:

- Black school trousers (these must not be made of denim or stretch material, or be skin tight).
- Black school v-neck long sleeved jumper (optional) – can only be worn under, but not as an alternative to, the school blazer.
- White shirt and appropriate Academy tie or white blouse with revere collar – no tie. The tie is available to purchase from the Academy for £5.00 or from Michael Sehgal .
- Flat, plain black shoes or ankle boots – no stripes, no piping, no canvas, no trainers.

The exception to this is artefacts of a religious character, where possible these should be worn under clothing, and medical alert bracelets, bands or chains.
There should be minimal make up, no nail varnish and no gel or acrylic nails. Students should avoid extreme hairstyles and the use of non-natural hair colours. The Headteacher reserves the right to decide if make-up is minimal or a particular hairstyle is unacceptable.
All jewellery should be removed for PE lessons. PE staff are not responsible for checking for body piercings nor do they have the time. Any injury which results from jewellery not being removed is the responsibility of the student and not the Academy.
